Though BlueStacks is the best known Android Emulator, but still has certain drawbacks which lead users to look for its alternatives.

BlueStacks is an Android Emulator that allows users to run android apps on PC or MAC. It has been quite a successful journey for Bluestack till date but now people are searching for better alternatives to Bluestacks. The reason behind the search alternatives is that BlueStacks has some heavy hardware requirements which are not easy to fulfill.

Though Blogger platform belongs to Google, but still there are many issues that must be addressed. One such issue is, how to prevent indexing of Archive Pages?

Archive Pages contain all the posts published in a specific month. For example - August, 2014 archive page will contain all the posts published in the month of August, 2014. From SEO point of view archive pages result in duplicate content as the same content is published on two different places which are post page and archive page.

Also, users hate archive pages. Think of a situation in which you are desperately searching for something and when a links seems to be the one you were searching for - you land an archive page and you had to analyse or search through the entire page to find that article. You would hate that site, won't you?

Hence, we must prevent these archive pages from getting indexed in search engines. This will be good for SEO and user experience.

You can block archive pages from indexing in two ways, but i will suggest you to use both the ways.

Block Indexing on Archive Pages

1. Search Preference Setting

Blogger platform was evolved a lot in the past few years, providing a range of new features especially related to search preferences. You can use this Search Preference option in Settings to make your blog more Search Engine friendly.

Go to Settings > Search Preferences

Enable Custom robots header tags

In the Archive and Search pages segment select NOINDEX and NOARCHIVE.

2. Manually Adding Meta Tags

This method involves manually adding adding NOINDEX meta robots tags to the archive pages by editing your template.

Go to Template > Edit HTML.

Search for
and paste the following code after

<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == "archive"'>

</b:if>

Click SAVE TEMPLATE.

But, there is one feature that is still unavailable on Chrome even after so many updates and revisions which is Resuming Interrupted Download.

Suppose you are downloading a large file using Chrome and suddenly because of some reason that download was interrupted and you are unable to resume it. How angry you would be? This is the only problem I find with Chrome.

Resuming interrupted downloads is a feature that is available in Mozilla Firefox and even Internet Explorer. But, don't why is unavailable on Chrome. But, don't worry still there are many ways in which you can resume interrupted downloads in Chrome.

Starting Interrupted Downloads in Chrome

Though there is no default option to resume download of an interrupted file in Chrome, but there are two ways in which you can download the interrupted file smoothly.

1. Via Experimental Features

Chrome has many features that are by default unavailable or disabled because of stability issues, but you can easily enable them. To see Chrome's experimental features go to the url "Chrome://flags" and on this page you will see a list of Google's experimental features.

One of these experimental features is Enable Download Resumption which enable you to resume interrupted download by providing a Resume option in context menu. All you need to do is enable this option.

2. Using Wget

Though the first option works just fine, it is still an experimental feature and hence cannot be trusted entirely. To address the problem on interrupted downloads we get to use a more stable solution.

As our second solution we will be using an utility called WGet which is available for free.

Install WGet. While installing select a directory like Downloads which is easier to access.

Now, locate the interrupted download file (.crdownload).

Rename the file - Just remove .crdownload extension. Click OK when prompted.

Copy this file to the folder containing WGet executable file (where WGet was installed).

Press shift and Right click > Open Command Window here (while in the folder containing executable)

In the command window type wget -c URL_OF_INTERRUPTED_FILE. You can get url of interrupted file from Chrome Download page.

Downloading will start from the point of interruption.

I would suggest you to avoid Chrome to download big files. Instead of Chrome use Download Managers like IDM and FDM for downloading big files.
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00524740843226052618noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3987389230056494269.post-45859145683139852902014-08-09T11:37:00.001-07:002014-08-09T11:37:47.280-07:00How to Fix Xiaomi Mi3 LED Notification Lights For Missed Calls
Xiaomi Mi3 is a great phone with good design and awesome hardware specifications. I totally loved this phone. After using this phone for the past two days I am pretty satisfied with this phone and haven't experienced any glitch yet. But, I think there is a little problem with the LED notification lights of this phone as it doesn't glow when there is a Missed Call.

Notification lights are basically LEDs on the front screen of your mobile phone that glow when there is a notification like Missed Call, WhatsApp Message, SMS or an Email. Xiaomi Mi3 has multi-colored notification lights.

The exact problem is that the notification lights in the Xiaomi Mi3 doesn't glow when there is a missed call, but glows for Emails, Messages and SMSs. Actually, it is not a problem with the Notification lights, but is actually a software glitch. This similar problem exists on NEXUS 5 too.

Though the problem is quite small but it is miss leading. You must have experienced some rough situations because of this problem. Hence, it must be solved quickly.

The LED Notification Lights problem is faced by all Xiaomi Mi3 users and is bascially a software problem. So, lets see how this problem can be solved.

Solving LED Notification Lights Problem with Xiaomi Mi3

Install app called Light Flow from the Play Store.

Open the Light Flow app and enable notifications for Missed Calls.

Now, open the Security App and select Light Flow from Apps Menu.

Turn On the Trust This App and Auto-Start options.

Now, restart you phone and notifications lights will work for missed calls.

Some free hosting companies even block your account without any valid reason. There many downsides of free hosting and one should select them after proper research.

The worst thing that you can expect as a gamer is inability to play a game after spending money and downloading 8GB game on your steam account. This happened with me recently. When i started the game I was greeted with an error message "Physxloader.dll missing". If you are facing the same problem and want to fix Physxloader.dll not found error then read below.

Before we proceed further i have a piece of advice for you - Avoid downloading and using DLL files from DLL download websites.

Physxloader.dll - As the same suggests is related to the NVIDIA's PhysX Technology which is the ability of GeForce GPUs to accelerate physics calculations, and games that are using that ability to create more rich physical effects. This technology provides more visually enhanced gaming experience for owners of NVIDIA GPUs.

Video games supporting hardware acceleration by PhysX can be accelerated by either a PhysX PPU or a CUDA-enabled GeForce GPU, thus offloading physics calculations from the CPU, allowing it to perform other tasks instead.

So, in order to play video games that make use of the PhysX technology you need to have PhysX sdk library files on your system. These library files comes pre-packaged with NVIDIA drivers. The physxloader.dll files is a part of PhysX sdk library.

There can be two reasons for the error "physxloader.dll missing". The first one is NVIDIA driver not installed or not up-to-date or corrupt, and the second reason is you are not using NVIDIA graphics card.

First solution for physxloader.dll missing error

If you are using NVIDIA graphics card that meets the requirement of the game and still getting Physxloader.dll not found error then try updating NVIDIA drivers to latest version. If you are still getting error after doing so, then follow the second solution.

Second solution for physxloader.dll missing error

If you are using non-NVIDIA graphics card (ATI) or the first solution is not working for you, then download and install the Physx System Software [Link]. After installing the Physx System Software try running the game, i bet it will work now.

Another piece of advice - If you are running Physx accelerated game on non-NVIDIA gpu, then turn Physx settings to lowest as it performs all the physics calculations on your CPU making it very hot.
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00524740843226052618noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3987389230056494269.post-17500750602517808512014-08-06T13:07:00.000-07:002015-05-18T10:27:25.409-07:00How to Check if Wine is Installed on Ubuntu
Windows Applications can be made to run on your Ubuntu system using Wine. You can install Wine directly from Ubuntu Software Center. But before proceeding, you must check if Wine in installed on your system already.

Wine is a software package that allows applications made for Microsoft Windows platform to run on UNIX like operating systems like LINUX. Wine also provides a software library named WineLib, using which developers can compile Windows applications to help port them to Unix-like systems.

Today, Ubuntu has become so popular that it is giving though competition to Windows and MAC operating systems. Developers have started giving Ubuntu equal priority to Windows and MAC. So, you can find almost every app made for Windows OS for Ubuntu or even if you can't find the same application, you can still find equally capable alternatives.

But, still there are incidents when you want to run the same Windows application on your Ubuntu system, like running FOOBAR2000 on Ubuntu. In such situation Wine comes into play. For eg, Wine makes it possible to run IPmessenger on Ubuntu and even allows running IDM on ubuntu.

So, enough of benefits of Wine. Lets start talking about installing Wine. You can install Wine from the Ubuntu Software Center and you are done. For detailed description you can check out our tutorial on Installing Wine Correctly and Completely on Ubuntu.

But before you install Wine on your system, you must check if Wine is already installed on your system. By checking, you can save yourself from unrequired effort and also save your bandwidth.

So, using the first options given above you check if Wine is installed on your system or not and using option two you can check the version of Wine installed (if any). After this, you can either install Wine or upgrade Wine to latest version as per your preference.
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00524740843226052618noreply@blogger.com0
